You don’t mention the significant downsides of not believing in innerancy. If you don’t believe in innerancy then you can reject anything you don’t like in the Bible and re interpret the rest to suit whatever agenda you have and then teach it.

It also means you have no way of backing up any argument because my interpretation of which verses are flawed are different to yours so I can ignore everything you say.

I believe you have also seen over egged the downsides. A believer in innerancy can believe this verse to be both innerant and symbolic or literal without believing it to be in error.

Without innerancy you have nothing but opinion and feeling, no way to validate anything in this world beyond your own personal boundaries.

A mature and humble faith believes in innerancy and furthermore believes their own interpretation to be subject to correction via the use of scripture. It does not justify pride and an unchanging theology,
