The need for gas is relatively temporary as new greener sources come online over the next decade or two.

After all that though we have to ask the question who really has the best human rights record? When we compare countries where gas and oil comes from and we see a list that includes Saudi, Iran and Russia; Israel with all its blemishes rises to the top of that flawed list.

Add in the fact that the Middle East could easily support Palestine by pumping more oil and releasing reserves and we are forced to conclude that this is really the best course of action.
