During the French Revolution some partisans wanted to chop the heads off most of the people they disagreed with where as the extremists on the side didn’t want to chop anyones heads off.
The vaccination debate is so polarised. Some people think vaccines are evil and some people (including almost every medical expert) wants almost everyone to be vaccinated.
Hopefully my examples have alerted you to the flaws in your article. While I applaud trying to avoid tribalism, not all tribalism is equal. Sometimes, simply put, one side is right and one side is wrong. Sometimes after putting aside tribalism we find that we need to take the evidence based side.
Currently one sub group of one party in America is directly opposing democracy as well as directly putting public health at risk. Trying to label this as everyone’s problem is not helpful in this situation sadly.
