A good thought process. Personally I am concerned with practical applications. Those who allegedly oppose abortion often do not support measures which demonstrably reduce abortion such as sex education, universal health and maternal care and the de-stigmatisation of single mother hood.
It is clear then that abortion isn't really the issue but rather a rallying cry for a particular tribe to condemn and yes dehumanise their political opponents.
Almost everyone wants to find ways of reducing abortion regardless of our opinion of what a fetus is. Forward thinking people on both sides of the debate should be cooperating with each other on the many possible areas of shared ground to research the most effective ways of reducing abortion that dont affect the rights of the mother as that is the overlapping interest between both parties.
